Winter Jazz Fest Thursday - Remi Bolduc

Burning Alto Saxophone! That is how I would describe Remi Bolduc when I first met him at the Banff International Jazz Workshop, where I was a student and he a teacher some twelve years ago. His mind always at work, he is one of our eternally driven saxophonists. Of the talent we have in Canada Remi is the perfect musician to take on the colossal legacy of Charlie Parker.
Remi has recorded as a leader with such esteemed musicians as Kenny Werner, Tenor legend Jerry Bergonzi, Ben Monder amongst others, so he is no stranger to putting together projects of the highest caliber. The CD has incredible energy on it and if that is a sign of anything, we are in for a treat tomorrow.

Remi brings his award winning project to the Fourth Stage as part of the Winter Jazz Fest tomorrow night after Rene Gely's Pulse Mondiale!
