This is Ottawa's premier jump-jive band. They've toured North America playing clubs, festivals and dances and this is a real treat to get to hear them and try out some of the moves you might have learned in the previous half-hour.

Renee is one of the city's great jazz singers. She respects the tradition greatly and always finds a way to convey the story.  Teaming up here with Montreal's Joel Kerr and Ottawa's Mark Ferguson. Both Renee and Mark are featured on this year's Compilation CD Valley Giants 2012.

Colin Stetson – saxophones, clarinets
This guy is awesome! Saxophonist who has become one of the most sought after indie rock horn players has played and recorded with Tom Waits, Bon Iver and more. He has a very cool concept for his solo show which includes circular breathing while singing all on a bass sax! You can read a more extensive blog post about Colin here.

Another New Orleans powerhouse - this band is a powerhouse that takes no prisoners. Horns, organ, funk, brass bands... all this mashed up into one nation.

Caridad is a really powerful singer from Cuba who has made Ottawa her home. With a great band, I am really glad she gets a chance to open at OLG on the stage's closing night!
